How to Cope with Emotional Fatigue
Lately with what has been going around the world, people are feeling physically and emotionally drained.
This happens because we were so focused on staying safe and alive. And now that we’re in the next phase of feeling like there is no end in sight, the focus may seem unclear. With the uncertainty that is in the air, we can’t let our exhaustions drain us up. So here are 5 tips you can follow to help you get back up!
- Take a Break Don’t be hard on yourself and enjoy yourself once in a while. Keep doing all that’s necessary and all that gives you joy; drop whatever you’re making yourself unhappy. But never forget about your responsibilities!
- Seek Support Everyone is probably having a hard time to cope with these quarantine things. Share your thoughts by telling your family or by calling a friend because this reminds you that you are not alone.
- Going outside! Even though Covid-19 is still a thing, it wouldn’t hurt to breathe fresh air and enjoy the wind breeze once in a while, but don’t forget to always wear your mask!
- Eventually staying at home makes us less productive, with that we also need to make sure that we stay fit by having enough sleep (which is 7-9 hours a day), consuming a balanced diet and doing some exercise at least 3 times a week. People will definitely want to see that glow up!
- Detox your mind The idea of a “detox” is the same as with cleansing: it’s eliminating certain “bad” things, like negative emotions, and habits that do not serve you. Doing meditation or limiting yourself from exposure like social media and other toxic things can help you get your positive mind back. Cleansing your mind is not just about embracing the good, it’s also about allowing yourself to feel the “bad” and realizing that your negative thoughts have their purpose too.
