You then get ready to start the day doing your work routines, attend meetings, and continue to work again. Even after you "complete" your work, it follows you home. You keep doing what you're doing everyday despite all the things you can truly enjoy in life, like just simply, sleeping. This may sound familiar to you, but sadly this is what society recommends us to do, which is very exhausting. Hustle culture is the societal expectation that you must strain yourself at more than 100% capacity to succeed. When you're finished, not when you're exhausted, is when you stop. And throughout it all, you must maintain a strong spirit that, despite any potential suffering, you genuinely love what you do. Research demonstrates that in doing Hustle culture which means working long hours of work or multitasking reduces productivity and kills creativity. Hustle culture is a result of the need to work super extra in the hope of achieving extraordinary success in the future. But when exactly will we gain success if there is no way for us to measure success? Hustle culture is a pervasive toxic attitude where you feel bad if you spend too much time on activities that you enjoy or makes you happy other than work that mostly people do to gain more money.
